Imelda Drumm and Orla Boylan will be appearing in the Irish National Opera production of Aida at Dublin's Bord Gáis Energy Theatre later this month.

Composed by Giuseppe Verdi, Aida is one of the grandest of grand operas, and is celebrated for its visual and vocal spectacle. It promises to be a pretty special event.

The story concerns Aida, an Ethiopian princess enslaved in Egypt, who is torn between her love for Radames, Captain of the Egyptian Guard, and loyalty to her father, Amonasro. Her solution leads to betrayal and death.
