Una Healy has revealed that she hopes that she and her estranged husband Ben Foden can have an amicable relationship in the future.
The couple parted ways after six years of marriage in July, just days before the family were set to move to New York after Foden landed a contract with Rugby United New York.
Now, Saturdays star Healy has said she hopes to remain friends with her ex, telling Closer magazine at the Pride of Britain Awards: "I want to stay friends with Ben.
"He's the father of my children and he's in my life forever, so hopefully one day we can be friends."
Healy and Foden are parents to two children, Aoife, six, and Tadhg, three.
The 37-year-old singer commented on their break-up for the first time in an interview with Hello! magazine in September.
"My life has been turned upside down and I’m trying to figure it out," she said. "I’m taking each day as it comes and just being there for my children."
Healy said she her priority now is raising her two young children.
"I'm so lucky to have them. I never feel lonely or alone. They’re lovely company and have brought joy into my life. The most important job for me is to be the best parent I can and to provide and look after them. They’re my priority," she said.
"You have to be strong for your children as they’re dependent on you. But with that responsibility comes great satisfaction. I'm looking forward to all the milestones in their lives that we’ll share."
