Ireland's Brendan Murray survived a dramatic sing-off on X Factor as both Janice Robinson and LMA Choir  were voted off The X Factor.

This week the act with the fewest votes was immediately eliminated, with host Dermot O'Leary announcing it was Janice Robinson.

Lines then reopened for viewers to continue to vote for their favourite before closing again. The next two acts with the fewest votes were then revealed as the LMA Choir and Brendan Murray.

They both performed in the sing-off with LMA Choir performing Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come while Brendan sang Radiohead's High & Dry.

It was then over to judges Simon Cowell, Ayda Williams, Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson to decide which of them stayed and who got was next to get the boot, but they ended-up with two votes each!

With the judges' vote tied, the result was decided by yet another public vote. And while it was joy for Brendan, it was heartbreak for LMA Choir, who were eliminated with the fewest viewer votes.
