On Wednesday the band, made up of Ryan Hennessy, Jimmy Rainsford, Cliff Deane and Owen Cardiff, held a press conference in Dublin to announce details of their second album MDRN LV, and information on their European tour which includes an astounding five night stint in the 3Arena.

"It's the hardest secret we've ever had to keep, we've known about it for quite some time, we decided it a long time ago," frontman Ryan told RTÉ Entertainment.

"We wanted to do something different; it would've been easy for us, in a way, to go and play a Marlay Park or things that have been done a load of times, so when we knew that we could play five nights in the 3Arena and it's never been done before, we were like 'let's do it' straight away.

"It's been so hard to keep secret, it really has."

The band released their self-titled debut album in 2017, which has been certified triple platinum in Ireland, and they admitted that they are finding it "hard to comprehend" that they are already at a place where they can announce so many nights in a venue the size of the 3Arena – it's capacity is 13,000 people.

"It's unbelievable – I can't describe how that feels, I really can't, and I know that sounds a bit cliché that it's indescribable, but it genuinely is, you can't put that into words," Ryan said.

"We've only been a band for two and a half, nearly three years, and we've always wanted to do stuff like this, but we never really thought it was possible. We wanted to think it was possible but it doesn't happen that often, so it's hard to comprehend."

After the announcement, the band took to the balcony of The Westbury hotel in the city centre to perform for their fans who had gathered - check it out:
