The Eagles will play "an intimate fully seated performance" at Dublin’s 3Arena on July 6 next year as part of their 2019 world tour with a line-up that now features country singer Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, son of late Eagles member Glenn Frey.

Don Henley, who co-founded The Eagles with Glenn Frey in 1971, has previously said that the band would have broken up for good if they hadn’t recruited "family blood" in the form of Deacon, who played his first gig with Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit at Dodgers Stadium in July, 2016.
Deacon performed Eagles song Peaceful Easy Feeling at his father’s memorial service and in an interview with Rolling Stone last year, Henley said he was impressed with what he heard.
"As difficult as that might have been, he was so brave and composed," he said. "I’m sure, on the inside, he was churning. After a few months went by I thought, ‘Why not see if he would like to be in the band?"
Henley also said he had considered the future of the band without Frey, who died in 2016 aged 67. "The only way it felt justified to me was to have family blood in the band."
"And I have to hand it to Deacon. He had done some gigs with his father - private parties, in front of maybe 200 people. To go from that to 50,000 people is extraordinary. I don’t know many people who could have done that without freaking out."

Henley also praised new touring member Gill. "It was a no-brainer for us to get Vince. Nobody else, other than Deacon, we even discussed.
"He fit like a glove. And his personality is great. He’s just glad to be there. He’s probably the happiest guy onstage."
