Loose Women panellists have broken their silence on Coleen Nolan's decision to go on a hiatus and have offered their love and support.

On Thursday, the Nolan Sisters singer announced she would be taking an "immediate hiatus" from the show due to the backlash that ensued after her on-air spat with her fellow former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Kim Woodburn.

On Friday, Loose Women host Kaye Adams opened the show by saying: "Before we get started, as some of you may be aware, Coleen is taking a bit of time out from Loose Women. We all just want to send her our love and our very best wishes."

She added: "Coleen is a brilliant Loose Woman and we really hope to see her back here very soon indeed."

Nolan and Woodburn initially feuded in the Celebrity Big Brother house. They were reunited on Loose Women last Wednesday (August 29) to try and repair the relationship, but the encounter ended badly with both women left in tears and Woodburn storming off the set.

The following week, Nolan released a statement on Twitter revealing her hiatus from the show and the postponement of her solo tour.

It read: "Following the constant online bullying trolling and misrepresentation of her words, actions and reactions, it is with sad regret Coleen is taking immediate hiatus from all current commitments including Loose Women and postponing her Never Too Late solo tour.

"Coleen has spent 50 years in showbusiness and 18 years as one of the most loved members of the Loose Women panel and has never been subject to such a horrifying torrent of online abuse or such a heartbreaking attack on her reputation."
