The season begins after the events of The Defenders, and sees Rand fulfilling his promise to protect New York following the supposed death of Matt Murdock at the end of that miniseries.

Don't Miss
Massacre at Ballymurphy, 9.00pm Saturday, Channel 4
This promises to be a forensic exposé of one of the most shocking and significant events of the Troubles in Northern Ireland: a series of killings the British Army stand accused of which took place over three days in West Belfast's Ballymurphy estate in 1971.
Among the eleven who died were a priest who was attending another man who had been shot, but survived - and a mother of eight children.
The families of the dead accuse Britain's elite Parachute Regiment of carrying out the shootings, the same regiment which, less than six months later, was to shoot dead 13 unarmed people on what became known the world over as Bloody Sunday.
Weekend Movies
Vertigo, 1.20pm Saturday, RTÉ One
One of the greatest films ever made and certainly the definitive Alfred Hitchcock movie, James Stewart stars as retired San Francisco detective John 'Scottie' Ferguson.
His vertigo is central to a plot that involves one of Hitch's favourite cinematic tools, a beautiful blonde woman, this time played by Kim Novak.
A wealthy shipbuilder approaches Scottie and asks him to follow his wife, Madeleine. He fears she is going insane, maybe even contemplating suicide. Scottie agrees after he sees Madeleine and a tragic love story begins.
Drive, 11.00pm Saturday, BBC Two
Ryan Gosling stars as an unnamed Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights behind the steering wheels of getaway cars.
He falls for a neighbour (played by Carey Mulligan), whose husband (Oscar Isaac) involves him in a botched heist that endangers their lives.
Box Set Binge
Get Shorty: Season 1, from Saturday, Sky Box Sets & NOW TV
This dark dramedy stars Chris O'Dowd as Miles Daly, a hitman living in Nevada who tries to become a Hollywood movie producer in order to leave his criminal past behind and win back his estranged family.
With what he thinks is a great script in hand, and with the help of washed-up producer Rick Moreweather (Ray Romano) and his criminal associate Louis (Sean Bridgers), Miles enters the filmmaking world while attempting to keep the demanding crime ring's chief Amara (Lidia Porto) at arm's length.
The cast is great, but O'Dowd is fantastic in the lead role.
