The New York Rose turned the tables on Rose of Tralee host Dáithí Ó Sé by making him feel under pressure during a hearty party piece segment.

Sarah Ward, a 22-year-old nurse, was first to take to the Rose of Tralee Festival Dome on Monday night - and she made a bloomin' good entrance.

The Hudson Valley native proved to be a great sport (as did Daithí) as she checked the presenter's blood pressure to see if he was stressed.

"We're going to take my blood pressure just to make sure I'm fit for the gig," Dáithí told the audience.

As Sarah began to take his blood pressure he added, "We'll do it over the jacket so it mightn't be that accurate... You don't do it like this, but because I'm sewn into the jacket..."

"Oh you've the serious nurse face on," he laughed as Sarah got to work.

With live television, things never run smoothly, so of course... "It's broken... It's actually broken... It's not working..." Dáithí said.

And the result? Sarah laughed that, "Oh it's a little higher than when I took it earlier".

Sarah seemed to win over the hearts of social media users with viewers applauding the nurse for her party piece.
