Jonathan Rhys Meyers has opened up about his wife Mara Lane in a new interview, saying she is a "superior woman" while promising he will "only marry once".
The 41-year-old star said that he and Mara Lane's marriage will last as she knows how to "handle" him.
"Everything good and beautiful in my life comes from my wife and son," he told The Times newspaper.
"I promise you: I will only marry once. Actors can be moody bastards and we have been through thick and thin together. She knows how to handle me."
When asked what the trick is to handling him, Meyers explained: "She says, ‘Go to the gym. Go for a swim. Whatever you do, get out of my sight because what you need I can’t give you right now. I have a child to look after.’ "

Meyers, who welcomed son Wolf with his wife in December 2016, said he never thought he would have children.
"I never thought I’d be a father", he shared. "I was an actor and never thought I’d make a good parent. You have to be a pillar and I wanted to perform. Being a father you have to face yourself quicker. There’s no time for mistakes.
"You are the protector and you are responsible. Thank God that Wolf mostly has his mother’s traits. But occasionally I see the temper and I think that’s mine..."
The actor spoke about he and Lane tragically losing a daughter through miscarriage last year.
"You don’t ever get over it," he said. "I think about it all the time. Was it our age? Was it too soon after Wolf? Who knows? I’d love a daughter. But bad things happen and sometimes they come in battalions.
"People want to believe what they see on Instagram or on Twitter, but the truth is, life can really hurt you."
The Irish actor also addressed his recent incident on a plane in which he used an e-cigarette, explaining that he had visited Peru to visit his therapist.
"He specialises in actors who inhabit extreme roles and the toll that takes. He’s a no bulls**t guy. He opens doors closed for years and that can be troubling, but when it’s out, it’s out", the actor said.
"Everyone’s got memories, events, losses they don’t like. You have to deal with them."
Meyers previously stated he was "deeply sorry" for the incident, and later explained it began because he "very stupidly decided to order a drink".
The actor says he is not an alcoholic but admits he suffers "an allergy from alcohol every time I drink it".
