It is reported that BBC News presenter Kate Silverton has signed up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing after years of BBC bosses trying to persuade the 48-year-old to take to the dancefloor.
The Sun says Silverton joins a celebrity line-up that reportedly includes Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts, radio presenter Vick Hope and Steps star Faye Tozer.
A source told the paper: "Kate has been at the top of the producers' wish list for more than a decade.
"But she has always put her career and family above everything. Now she's polishing off her dancing shoes and can't wait to get started."
"Kate has made no secret of how much she loves Strictly so being able to take part is a dream come true," the source added.
Lee Ryan from the boyband Blue, This Morning doctor Ranj Singh and YouTube star Zoella's brother Joe Sugg are also reportedly in the new line-up of the show, which is hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
The BBC is set to begin revealing the names of this year's Strictly Come Dancing celebrities from Monday August 13.
