Prosecutors in the US have said they are reviewing a sexual assault allegation made against singer Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. He has denied the allegation.
In February, the Santa Monica Police Department in California said a woman had alleged Nick Carter sexually assaulted her in 2003.
On Thursday, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney said the case was forwarded to them by police on July 31 and is under review.
In November, when the allegation was first made public, 38-year-old Carter released a statement, saying he was "shocked and saddened" by the claim.
"It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm," he said.
