Kelsey Grammer has admitted that while there have been discussions about bringing Frasier back to television screens, he isn't sure that he would want to reprise his role.

The 63-year-old actor is best known for playing psychiatrist Frasier Crane for two decades on the hit sit-com, which came as a spin-off of Cheers.

The Emmy-winning comedy premiered in 1993

Grammer took his final turn as Frasier when the show concluded in 2004, and in this time of remakes and reboots Frasier is the latest classic show being looked at for a comeback, but the lead star is dragging his heels.

"They are rumours right now," Grammer told the Press Association.

"I have discussed the idea with some people and I'm not sure I want to do it. That's really where we're at,"

Grammer can next be seen in Netflix drama Like Father alongside Kristen Bell.
