A documentary on Shergar, a new BBC family drama and a must-see for movie nuts - there's plenty of interest on this evening.
Pick of the Day
Searching for Shergar, 9:35pm, RTÉ One
One of the great mysteries of the modern age returns to screens tonight. Presenter-director Alison Millar sees if she can shed new light on the kidnapping of one of the world's most valuable racehorses in 1983. If you missed this gripping documentary on the BBC at the weekend, here's your chance.

Starting Tonight
Age Before Beauty, 9:00pm, BBC One
New series can be like hen's teeth at this time of the Summer, but the Beeb is rolling this family drama out. It's set around a beauty salon, as daughter Bel (Polly Walker) returns to prevent her family from running it into the ground. No arguments, then. The cast also includes Robson Green, Sue Johnston and Lisa Riley, so the very least we're expecting is watchable.
The Good Fight, 9:35pm, RTÉ Two
The Good Wife spin-off continues, with an episode called, ahem, The Schtup List. In tonight's legal drama, Adrian and Barbara have to face up to something about a high profile client, while Lucca gets more than she bargained for when working as second chair to Diane on a case.
Don't Miss
Mark Kermode's Secrets Of Cinema, 9:00pm, BBC Four
We've reached episode three, and this week the colossus of criticdom casts his eye over the coming-of-age film and how, really, they never get old. His rummage through the reels takes him from the French New Wave through to The Breakfast Club and right up to our own Saoirse Ronan in this year's Oscar-nominated Lady Bird.
