Jenna Dewan has opened up on her split from husband of nine years Channing Tatum, saying they are adapting to "a new normal".
The Hollywood couple announced their split in a joint statement on Instagram back in April, saying they had "lovingly chosen to separate".
Dancer and actress Dewan has now spoken about how she has been doing since parting ways from Tatum in an interview with Women's Health.
"I feel I’ve been on a wave of growth", she told the magazine.
"It does look different; it’s a new normal, and I really think we’ll get used to that."
She admitted that the break-up has been far from painless, saying: "It’s always challenging to go through a big change and have the whole world have an opinion about it."

She added of her and Tatum's break-up: "It’s okay for a relationship to change into a new form that is actually better for both people involved, and I think that’s maybe what shocked everyone so much - that it can be a positive thing.
"That was ultimately what happened with us."

Dewan says that she wants to be the strongest version of herself for her and Tatum's five-year-old daughter Everly.
"It’s been a journey, and it’s been a transformation of myself - my needs and wants as a woman," she explained of the past year.
"I think everyone wants to hold on to what’s in front of them, but when you open your mind, saying, ‘I want what’s best for myself and my daughter,’ you have to be okay with however that looks."
"I did a lot of work healing from the inside out, becoming more in touch with my womanly power. It was always, 'I’m a dancer', or 'I’m married', or 'I’m an actress', she added.
"Over the last couple of years, it became about learning about myself."

Tatum and Dewan met on the set of their 2005 dance film Step Up and married in 2009.
