Laura Whitmore 'to get stuck in' on BBC Radio

Presenter Laura Whitmore is to host a new show on BBC Radio 5 Live later this month.

Laura Whitmore's Sunday Session begins on BBC Radio 5 Live on Sunday July 22 at 11am and will run for six weeks. 

The BBC said the one-hour show will cover "the news, views, music and entertainment" that have piqued Whitmore's interest each week. 

"She will catch up with a range of guests - from musicians to journalists and from comedians to cultural and social influencers," the broadcaster added. 

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now! presenter Whitmore said she was "delighted to be joining the BBC 5 Live family". 

"It's going to be a lot of fun and full of debate and discussion over a wide range of topics," she continued. "I can't wait to get stuck in!"

Whitmore has recently been working on Finding Joy, a new RTÉ comedy in which she stars opposite writer and creator Amy Huberman.

The six-part series follows a single woman named Joy as she navigates a painful breakup and looks for happiness in all of the wrong places.
