The Good Karma Hospital, 11.40pm, RTÉ One

Great show – terrible time. This addictive medical drama, set in India, is perfect Sunday night viewing but gets an airing near midnight on Tuesdays. Go figure. Or press the red button and enjoy at your leisure.

As season two opens, Dr Ruby Walker (Amrita Acharia) is settling well in India. She's impressed hospital boss Lydia Fonseca (Amanda Redman) enough to get a first solo night shift. Then a storm hits.

Once upon a time there was a large Finnish company that manufactured the world's best and most innovative mobile phones. Nearly everyone had one.

Nokia's annual budget was larger than that of the government of Finland and everyone who worked there shared in the windfall. But global domination cost the company its pioneering spirit and quantity gradually took over from quality.

This is Life, 8.00pm, TLC

A woman reunites with her birth mother 37 years after she was adopted. Plus, a man who lost his motor skills surprises a crowd close to his heart.

Drug lords El Chapo, Jemeker Thompson, Christopher Coke and Klaas Bruinsma use fear and violence to make money and avoid authorities.

The Split, 10.40pm, RTÉ One

This slick legal drama about a family of legal types stars Nicola Walker, Annabel Scholey, Anthony Head and Stephen Mangan.

Walker plays Hannah Defoe, a brilliant divorce lawyer who quits the family practice for a rival firm after a row with her mother Ruth (Deborah Findlay) and sister Nina (Annabel Scholey).

Written by Abi Morgan, who won Baftas for Sex Traffic and The Iron Lady, and an Emmy for The Hour (which was superb), this show is guaranteed to entertain.

World Cup Watch

Semi-final: France v Belgium, 6.00pm, RTÉ 2

The first of the semis is a clash of heavyweights (and neighbours) as France take on Belgium. Both have very strong squads and much will depend on whose key players can impose themselves on the opposition.

Darragh Maloney and the gang will be previewing the game for a full hour ahead of the 7pm kick-off.
