Actor and singer-songwriter Jackson Odell has died. He was 20-years-old.
Odell, who starred in the ABC comedy series The Goldbergs from 2013 to 2015, was found unresponsive at a San Fernando Valley residence on Friday (June 8), a spokesperson from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office confirmed to E! News.
In a statement, the late actor's family said: "The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell, on Friday.
"He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share. Our family will always carry that truth forward. Our wish is that the rest of the world who knew and loved him does as well."
"We are now going to try to make sense of our immeasurable loss privately," the family added. "We will not be making any more statements."
Odell had been acting since he was 12, appearing on TV shows such as Private Practice, iCarly, Modern Family and Arrested Development.
His film career included the 2011 children’s film Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.
More recently, Odell wrote several songs for the soundtrack of the movie Forever Your Girl, including the Lauren Alaina hit Wings of an Angel.
