Majella says she's not really sure why people are fascinated with her marriage to Daniel O'Donnell and reckons it's probably because they are "very normal people".

The 58-year-old old was on Friday's Late Late Show to promote the new series of their hit show Daniel and Majella’s B&B Road Tripwhich is on RTÉ One every Tuesday at 8.30pm.

When asked why she thinks people are interested about their romance and lifestyle, Majella gave a very humble answer.

"I don't know. I just think that we are very normal people. We are very kind of down-to-earth and be just have the bit of craic. We don't take life too seriously."

"We are as we are on the B&B and he's telling me I'm a crap driver and I'm telling him 'Don't feckin' judge me on one stall,' - just like any married couple would be. It works, it's great.

Earlier this year, Ireland's favorite architect, Dermot Bannon, transformed Daniel and Majella's Donegal home into a modern masterpiece, and Majella admits she's glad they took the risk.

"Absolutely, 100! I found it really stress free because as far as I was concerned Dermot and the builders were doing it.

"So, he told me what he was going to do, and then I was able to sit back and say ‘On you go’ - and then he would check in with the builders. I only went up and checked in now and again.

"I’d be happy to go away and do what Daniel did. Go away and come back and it’s all done. I found it a great experience," she added.

Majella admitted she is extremely fond of Mr Bannon and praised his positive attitude and lovely persona.

"Dermot is like a wee boy. He’s so exuberant and he’s always in a good mood."

"I text him the other day and said ‘I miss you. We’ll have to get together for lunch or something"

"He’s just such a lovely, bubbly person," Majella said.
