Saoirse Ronan was present at a question and answer session at a Mayfair cinema (London) last week after a showing of her film On Chesil Beach when she was approached by a man who had asked an inappropriate question.
According to the Daily Mail, a middle-aged man, who described himself as a 'Chuck Berry-loving country bumpkin', asked the actress a sexually explicit question that had no relevance to On Chesil Beach.
Ronan's co-star in the movie, Billy Howle, attempted to deal with the question but the man became agitated and rushed towards her from his seat some ten yards away.

Novelist Ian McEwan, author of On Chesil Beach, was also participating in the Q & A. He arose from his seat to protect the actress.
Five bouncers, believed to comprise cinema security and film company minders duly grabbed the man and escorted him out of the building. Saoirse Ronan was also escorted off stage.
