Halfway makes a surprise return to Walford and makes up a cover story in front of Whitney and the Carters when they notice that he's injured. Halfway gets a warm welcome from everyone, with Mick and Linda even offering him Shirley's room at the pub so he has somewhere to stay.

Deegan is running out of patience at Yates' lack of progress on the murder case, but Yates isn't bothered by his concerns. Aoife feels certain that Wayne is guilty when he hires another solicitor, but Doug tries to tell Pete to support Wayne. She is panicked when it seems like the Guards believe Wayne is innocent and when she threatens him, he is naturally unnerved.
Elsewhere, Jim is buoyant about Oakley's hearing, but a wary Bob is worried he is placing himself in a tricky situation. Jim gives out to him for doubting him and Miriam encourages Jim to give more to the community. On Tuesday, Bob and Miriam are in a tizzy when Jim sets off for the hearing. Will it go as expected? Coming up this week in Coronation Street, Eva goes into labour at the cottage but has locked herself into the bathroom without her phone.
Toyah hears Eva's screams coming from the bathroom and manages to break in. She calls 999 and an operator talks them through the labour. Eva gives birth in the bathroom before being taken to hospital.

This week in Emmerdale, Kerry tries to get her brother-in-law Daz to tell Dan the truth but Daz chickens out and decides to make himself scarce.

On Home and Away this week, Ash has an accident that sees him rushed to hospital.
While working alone in the garage, a car falls on top of Ash. Justin and Tori try to help him out from underneath, and rush him to the hospital where he finds out that his kidneys have suffered a lot of damage. As Tori observes his progress, she worries that his kidney damage could be permanent.
