After selling out the first date in minutes, the Féile Classical has added a second date in September, with all of the acts, including The 4 of Us and The Stunning, on board for another night.

Originally billed as a one-night only, fully-seated live event in the Semple Stadium in Thurles on Saturday, September 22, giving ticket holders the chance to relive the memories of the Féile festival in the 1990s, it will now take place on two nights, with an extra date announced for Friday, September 21.

The Stunning, Hothouse Flowers, An Emotional Fish, Something Happens, The 4 of Us, The Frank & Walters and more, will perform alongside the Irish Chamber Orchestra. Newstalk presenter Tom Dunne will take on hosting duties for the shows.

"The Féiles and Italia '90 tend to merge in my head: a time of incredible optimism and fun, when it seemed Irish bands - almost all of whom could lay claim to at least one timeless classic - ruled the day," said Féile veteran Dunne.

"The 'Trip to Tipp' was the Mecca for Irish bands; a celebration of Irish rock music that had never been seen before. This concert has been in the ether for some time now, and myself and the bands are really excited to be collaborating with the Irish Chamber Orchestra to put together a glorious, in-your-face celebration of a special time in Irish music!"

Tickets for the September 21 extra date are on sale now.
