Ireland's Deep Atlantic presenter Ken O'Sullivan has told RTÉ Entertainment that there were twists for him and his team while they were putting the finishing touches to the second instalment of the acclaimed RTÉ One documentary.
O'Sullivan wasn't giving too much away, but was visibly excited about what viewers will discover on Sunday night.
"Talk about playing into injury time!" laughed the underwater filmmaker.

"We had the second documentary finished twice when news came through that changed the end. Twice! And we had to go back and re-recorded pieces because news came through from researchers."
"We finished the second programme last Wednesday week about half eleven," he recounted. "Went home, cracked a beer, thought, 'Hey, four years...' Got an email at six in the morning - 'You'll never believe what we found out'! - from our researcher in Iceland and we had to go back and re-record it!"
"But it's fantastic," teased O'Sullivan. "Fantastic news. Again, a research story. I can't give it away too much but we've documented something that's really important to blue whales..."
