The second season of The Handmaid's Tale begins, as does new dark comedy Barry and offbeat action-drama Happy!
Pick of the Day
The Handmaid's Tale, 9.30pm, RTÉ2
By all accounts the second season of this dystopian drama is just as uncomfortably brilliant as its predecessor. And it begins tonight with a double-bill to pile on the agony.
Although it's now moved on from Margaret Atwood's novel, the story remains pretty much the same, and the first episode begins where season one left off.
Offred - superbly played by Elisabeth Moss - is in the back of the Eyes' van, unsure whether she's being rescued, arrested, or en route to her execution.
New or Returning Shows
Super Garden, 8.30pm, RTÉ One
Once again five would-be garden designers take on the challenge of transforming five ordinary gardens into show gardens worthy of Bloom.
In the opening show, geo-engineer Joanna O'Brien takes on the challenge of transforming the urban garden of her fellow Cork resident and hard-working granny Marian Jordan.

The Big Picture - Young and Troubled, 9.35pm, RTÉ One
A special RTÉ documentary showing the reality of mental health issues among Ireland's young population and the crises in the health services.
Reporter Della Kilroy speaks to those on the front line; from students talking about day to day pressures, to parents and young people currently coping with Ireland's stretched services.
The documentary will be followed by a live studio discussion.
The Truth About Obesity, 8.00pm, BBC One
Nearly one in four people in the UK qualify as being obese, meaning their weight is significantly affecting the state of their health. And nine out of ten obese people don't even admit to being obese, or realise it.
With a background in fresh produce, presenter Chris Bavin seeks out the latest scientific research to find out the truth about obesity.
He'll be finding out exactly what obese is, and what happens to our bodies when we are, as well as the most effective and up-to-date solutions available.
Ending Tonight
In the Long Run, 10.00pm, Sky One
It's the sixth and final episode of Idris Elba's comedy based on his childhood in 1980s London, which charts the adventures of Walter and his family - the Easmons - and quirky friend Bagpipes.
Rumours of redundancies throw Bagpipes' plans up in the air, while Kobna and Dean run away and a heartbroken Valentine lands a delivery job.

Happy! Season 1, Netflix
Based on the graphic novel by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson, this is an offbeat action-drama about corrupt ex-cop-turned-hitman Nick Sax, played by Christopher Meloni.
Sax lives a pretty meaningless, intoxicated life until he has a near-death experience. After being brought back to life by paramedics, he starts seeing a tiny, blue-winged, relentlessly cheery horse named Happy.
The creature turns out to be the imaginary friend of a little girl named Hailey. She's been kidnapped by a villain known as Very Bad Santa, and has sent Happy to find help.
Don't Miss
Barry, 10.45pm, Sky Atlantic & NOW TV
Enjoying rave reviews in the US, this dark new comedy stars Bill Hader in the titular role as a low-rent thug turning numb from the repetitive nature of whacking jobs.
After he pursues one target into a drama class in LA, overseen by acting guru Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler), Barry becomes smitten with the acting bug - and one of the students.
Can he really cut his criminal ties and pursue this exciting new direction?
