Coming up on Wednesday night's Fair City, Yates’s line of questioning about Karen's murder rattles Orla - take a look at an exclusive sneak peek of the episode here.

Orla and Wayne are brought to the station on Wednesday, and DI Yates begins quizzing Orla on her relationship with Tommy Dillon as he tries to piece together her whereabouts on the night of Karen's death.

She lies, saying: "Nothing, we don't have one."

Yates isn't to be dissuaded, responding: "I understand that he's Junior's father", leaving Orla looking shocked.

She admits that is true but asks him, "What's that got to do with anything?"

"I'm curious why you'd run to him that night", Yates says quizzically.

"I didn't run anywhere," she counters angrily. "I called in to see him, I was upset and I wanted to talk."

Yates finally gets to the point, asking Orla pointedly: "What would you say to someone who would describe your visit to Tommy's as securing an alibi?"
