Tears for Fears have announced that their concert at Dublin's 3Arena, which they had been due to play next month, has been rescheduled for 2019 "due to unforeseen health concerns and on doctor's orders".

Instead of playing Dublin's 3Arena on May 2 as the opening night of their tour, Tears for Fears and special guest Alison Moyet will now play the venue on January 31, 2019.

Tears for Fears have also rescheduled all of their UK dates.

Tears for Fears "look forward to working on finishing material for their first new album in fourteen years, with the hope of releasing it this autumn"

The duo said they "apologise to their fans and are extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused".

"They look forward to working on finishing material for their first new album in fourteen years, with the hope of releasing it this autumn," their statement added.

Fans unable to attend the rescheduled Dublin show have been advised to "contact your point of purchase for a refund by Sunday 13th May 2018", with more information available at: tearsforfears.com.
