The son of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee will not face charges for allegedly assaulting his father.
Although Lee was reportedly pressing charges against his 21-year-old son Brandon for punching him in the face, the Los Angeles district attorney has dismissed the criminal case against Brandon because Tommy decided not to cooperate with authorities, according to TMZ.
Brandon allegedly hit his father on the night of March 5. Brandon claimed to be defending himself against his father. Lee senior disputed this in a tweet.
"My fiancée and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police. THAT’S the truth."

Brandon later told People magazine that he was "devastated at the events of the last several days that have been a result of my father’s alcoholism . . . I have and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as needed. I love my father and just want to see him sober, happy and healthy."
The 55-year-old drummer admitted that he drank more "than the average Joe," but denied that he had a serious problem with alcohol. He also denied getting physically aggressive with Brandon, saying, "I didn’t want to hit my son. I never have and I never will."
Brandon’s mother, Pamela Anderson, later called her ex-husband "a disaster spinning out of control."
