The Boomtown Rats and rock’s premier court jesters The Darkness will support Queen + Adam Lambert at their Marlay Park in Dublin on July 8.

The Rats, fronted by Bob Geldof, who appears on Friday night’s Late Late Show, formed in Dublin in 1975 and released six albums before splitting up in 1986.

The Darkness released their Number 1 debut album Permission to Land in 2003, and have been frequent visitors to Ireland, including a headline show at the Oxegen Festival in 2004.

The set list includes Queen classics We Will Rock You, Tie Your Mother Down, Another One Bites the Dust, and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Tickets for the Marlay park gig are priced from €79.50 available now via Ticketmaster.
