EastEnders stalwart Mo Harris will be making a dramatic and emotional return to Walford this week.
The character, played by actress Laila Morse, will reappear in Walford in order to tell Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner) that Kat Slater is dead in scenes set to air on Friday, March 16.
When Mo breaks the devastating news, Stacey is sent into a spin and presses her for more information about what happened.
New images released by the BBC show Mo comforting Stacey who is in floods of tears.
The plotline will involve a reunion of key members of the Slater family.
It was previously announced that Kat, played by Jesse Wallace, will also make her return to the soap.
EastEnders continues on Friday, March 16 at 8pm on BBC One.
