On a flying visit to Dublin ahead of St Patrick's Day - she’s heading back ‘to see Ireland beat England’ - Laura Whitmore told RTÉ Entertainment that despite living in London for the past ten years, Ireland will always be her home (or her mam will kill her!).
Fresh from her South African adventure, where she was filming Survival of the Fittest for ITV, the Bray native was full of chat about "Ireland’s very important match" this Saturday - and she's hoping to "wangle a ticket".
Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment’s John Byrne, Whitmore said: "I have to go back [to London], so I’m going to miss the festivities but I am hopefully going to see Ireland beat England in a very important rugby match. I’m hoping to wangle myself a ticket. But I will be watching either way."

Whitmore will also be keeping up with Dancing With The Stars on RTÉ One this weekend. The former Strictly contestant hasn’t been able to watch the show as of yet due to her travels, but her ‘good mate’ and show host Amanda Byram and Laura's mother Carmel have been keeping her up to date with proceedings.
Whitmore said: "My mother watches it so she fills me in too. It’s one of those things before she asks me how I am; she will fill me in on what I have been missing on Irish TV."
And it won’t be long before Whitmore is on Irish screens again, having revealed that she will be filming an episode of genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are? for RTÉ later this year.
"Hopefully I will be researching my family for Who Do You Think You Are so fingers crossed my family aren’t crazy and we don’t find out some mad stuff from the past.
"I’m going to come back to Ireland for ten days while we film that so I am really excited to see what we will find out."

Whitmore was back on Irish soil to launch Diet Coke’s Because I Can campaign, which aims to celebrate the good things in life.
Speaking about why she wanted to be involved with the campaign she said: "I think we all get very busy and stressed out by things and I think it always good to take a break and chill out and just remember the good things and the little things in life."
