To celebrate Mother's Day, we're taking a look at some of the best mums from of our favourite TV shows.

Kitty Foreman - That 70s Show

Kitty Foreman is such an underrated character in That 70s Show, and she's a brilliant TV mom. From the way she tries to keep the peace between Eric and Red, and how she lets Laurie know that she knows that she isn't the angel Red thinks she is, to the way she looks after everybody, her family are her life.

She also shows genuine interest in Eric's friends; when they take Hyde in being the best example of this. Not only is she a great mum, but she's also a hilarious character and some of her one liners are up there with the best.

Lorelai Gilmore - The Gilmore Girls

Lorelai and Rory Gilmore as a mother-daughter duo were one of my favourites growing up, and there's something so comforting about going on a Gilmore Girls binge. Having had Rory when she was quite young, Lorelai worked hard to provide for her daughter, while also becoming her friend.

Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham as Rory and Lorelai Gilmore

She opened Rory's eyes to great movies and their pop culture references were always top notch, and while at times it seemed as though Rory was more mature than her mum, there was never any doubt over how much she loved her.

Tami Taylor - Friday Night Lights

Tami Taylor isn't just a role model for motherhood, she's a role model for life. Tami and Coach Taylor are relationship goals, and while American football and the Dillon Panthers were always a big priority for them, it was their daughter Julie's best interests that always came first.

Tami Taylor was played by Connie Britton

Not only was Tami always there for Julie, she was there for the entire team and always knew what to say in any given moment. As a school counsellor she showed real interest and care for the students and if an inspirational speech from Coach wouldn't cut it, a calming chat from Tami would.

Marge Simpson - The Simpsons

She's had to put up with Homer's doh-nut eating ways for almost 30 years now, and somehow Marge always seems to keep her cool.

Not only is does she have ultimate hair goals but the fictional mother of Bart, Lisa and Maggie, knows how to perk anyone around her up when they are feeling blue.

From her priceless one-liners (‘Homer, you have to stop dropping your pants for everyone who claims they’re a doctor’) to her wise words on nutrition (‘I brought you a tuna sandwich. They say it’s brain food’), it’s hard not to love Margey. Now it's Marge's time to shine!

Lois Wilkerson - Malcolm in the Middle

Jane Kaczmarek earned seven Emmy nominations for her role as Malcolm’s mom in the hit TV show Malcolm in the Middle. Her wacky and eccentric ways are strangely charming, and makes her the kind of person you’d love to go to the pub with. Lois always seems to be chasing her tail but her heart is always in the right place.

Kris Jenner - Keeping up with the Kardashians

She’s the ultimate Momager, and trademark queen, and to top it off she always makes sure she gets her 10%. Kris Jenner uses every circumstance to her advantage. From leaked sex tapes to her husband transitioning, KJ knows out to make some dolla out of every situation. Kris may not be everyone's cup of tea, but when it comes to making the cash register tally, and keeping her family in the spotlight, she's a certified boss lady!
