Members of the Game of Thrones cast were spotted taking a break from filming the eighth and final season of the fantasy show with a few pints in a Belfast pub.

Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington, aka Tyrion, Daenerys and Jon Snow, were among the actors relaxing over pints of Guinness in Kelly's Cellars in Belfast's city centre last weekend.

Kelly's Cellars posted a photo of some of the Thrones stars enjoying drinks in the lounge of the traditional pub along with the caption: "As you may have noticed, Winter Is Coming. Or Coming Back. Or whatever.

"But whatever it is, it was a pleasure to welcome some of the cast of Game of Thrones yesterday evening.

"Because that's what they do. They drink. And they know things."

After the photo caused a big commotion on social media, Kelly's Cellars posted a statement on their Facebook page about their privacy policy, writing: "We respect all our esteemed guests, and fully appreciate that they came to relax after a lot of hard work. They deserved the privacy to do so. So the photo was not posted until after they had left, to let them enjoy themselves without being inundated with adoring fans.

"Don't get us wrong, we like basking in reflected glory as much as the next pub, as would you, we're sure, but it is our policy to let our celebrity guests relax in peace. So when you see such pictures again, remember, they are memories, not current events."

Game of Thrones is currently filming its eighth and final season which is set to air in 2019.
