Just as well there's plenty on the TV tonight. American Crime Story returns with The Assassination of Gianni Versace, Neven Maguire's also back, while it's cheerio to Operation Transformation crew.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, 9.00pm, BBC Two

Following the award-winning The People Vs OJ Simpson, the hugely successful anthology series returns with The Assassination of Gianni Versace.

Written by Tom Rob Smith (London Spy), the nine-part drama profiles the path of destruction that culminated in the murder of an international fashion icon.

On July 15, 1997, Gianni Versace (Edgar Ramirez) is shot by Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss) on the steps of Versace's Miami villa. As the killer flees, the media descends and the world reacts.

Also starring are Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace, and Ricky Martin as Versace’s partner Antonio D’Amico.

Neven's Irish Food Trails, 8.30pm, RTÉ One

As he returns to the small screen, Neven Maguire explores the internationally renowned Irish dairy industry.
Neven meets one of Ireland's youngest dairy farmers in Co. Cork. Leading pastry chef Robert Bullock creates Tarte Au Citron Meringue, Neven learns how local milk makes Irish mozzarella.
At home Neven makes Mozzarella Balls with Smoked Tomato Sauce.

The Supervet, 8.00pm, Channel 4

Back for an 11th season, this runs starts with a tiny Jackahuahua puppy needing emergency spinal surgery after being attacked by another dog in the park. Meanwhile, a Bernese has a rare cyst in his elbow requiring a challenging operation for removal, and an excitable Labrador needs elbow replacement surgery with a long and difficult road to recovery.

Film 2018, 12.10am, BBC One

Looking ahead to the Oscars, host Clara Amfo is joined by critics Ellen E Jones and Larushka Ivan-Zadeh to consider the Academy's top picks. Plus best director nominee Greta Gerwig chats about her acclaimed new film Lady Bird, starring Saoirse Ronan, and her hopes for Oscars night.

Operation Transformation, 9.35pm, RTÉ One

It’s the grand finale, presented by Kathryn Thomas, and the five Leaders take their transformations to the catwalk. After being on the Operation Transformation plan for eight weeks, their health and fitness transformation has well and truly begun. We find out how far they’ve come in this short space of time. It's also time to celebrate the OT Heroes - individuals who are making the healthy choice the easy choice across the country.

The £1 Houses: Britain's Cheapest Street, 9.00pm, Channel 4

The handful of pioneers renovating their £1 houses are rushing to finish for Christmas. But the houses haven't yet passed building regulations, and so cannot legally be handed over to the families. Mel and Rob are desperate - and when they discover they have to pay for extra work, decide to take matters into their own hands. 'Mischief Night' in Liverpool gives extra cause for concern.

From the award-winning producers of the BBC's brilliant Line of Duty comes this drama written by and starring Lennie James. Nelson 'Nelly' Rowe is a professional chancer and full-time scoundrel. Life just ticks along for him until one day he is arrested and accused of abducting his estranged daughter, Jody. Nelly protests his innocence, arguing he hasn’t seen his daughter in years, but the police have evidence that Jody’s last three calls were to Nelly’s phone. Jody’s mother, Claire (Suranne Jones), confronts Nelly, who assures her that he had nothing to do with Jody’s disappearance. With the clock ticking, Nelly sets out on a mission to clear his name and find his missing daughter.
