Director Ava DuVernay has announced that the singer Sade has created a very Sade-sounding new song called Flower of the Universe for her forthcoming movie Wrinkle in Time.
"I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway," DuVernay said on Twitter, announcing the collaboration.
"She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for WRINKLE IN TIME. It’s entitled Flower of the Universe. And it’s a dream come true."

The song marks Sade's first release since 2010's Soldier of Love.
Madeline L’Engle’s science fantasy novel A Wrinkle in Time was first published in 1962, and has won a myriad literary awards. The movie adaptation stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Michael Peña, and newcomer Storm Reid.
