Band member of The Kinks Jim Rodford has died, aged 76. The band confirmed the death on social media today.

Fellow band member Dave Davies tweeted: "I’m too broken up to put words together. It’s such a shock.
"I always thought Jim would live forever in true rock and roll fashion – strange – great friend, great musician, great man – he was an integral part of The Kinks’ later years. RIP Jim Rodford."

The guitarist who has also in bands: The Bluetones, Argent and The Zombies liked in St Albans, Herts and his services to British music were recognised in 1990 when he won an Ivor Novello Award.
