The Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown has become the first celebrity contestant to leave this year's Dancing on Ice.

Brown and professional partner Matt Evers lost out in the skate-off to singer Lemar and his partner Melody Le Moal on Sunday night's show on TV3 and ITV.

Judges Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo both chose to save Brown and Evers, with Jayne Torvill opting for Lemar and Le Moal.

Head judge Christopher Dean had the deciding vote and chose to save Lemar and Le Moal.

Asked if she was "gutted" to be leaving, Brown replied: "Just a bit."

"I did my best," she added. I couldn't have done any more."

Lemar and his partner Melody Le Moal survived the first skate-off

Dancing on Ice continues on TV3 and ITV this Sunday at 6:00pm.
