Paul McCartney's much-anticipated new studio album is nearing completion, according to reports - and the once and forever Beatle says it will include a song about Donald Trump.
The follow-up to New, which was released five years ago, should be released this year, says McCartney and speaking during a Q&A on his website, he said he has penned a song about the US president.
"I’d like that to be something I really love and then hopefully the fans will love it too," McCartney said. "I would like to achieve making that a really great album. Fingers crossed! That’s not what it’s called, but fingers crossed! [Pauses] It could be … it could be the new album title."
McCartney said he has recorded sessions with Adele producer Greg Kurstin but it is not certain that Kurstin is the main producer of the album.

McCartney's executive producer on his last studio album was Giles Martin, son of former Beatles producer George Martin. Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Paul Epworth also fulfilled production duties. The record reached No.3 on both the US and UK charts.
