One year has passed since the death of actress Debbie Reynolds following the death of her daughter Carrie Fisher.
The 60-year-old Star Wars actress and her 84-year-old mother died within one day of each other in December 2017.
"She wanted to be with Carrie," her son Todd Fisher told Variety magazine after his mother died at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
Reynolds had been taken to the hospital from Carrie Fisher’s Beverly Hills house after suffering a stroke, the day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died.
Carrie had suffered cardiac arrest while traveling by plane from London to Los Angeles. She passed away five days afterwards on December 27. Her mother suffered a fatal hemorrhagic stroke the following day.
The actresses were laid to rest together at a private funeral at the Hollywood Hills' Forest Lawn Memorial Park in January.
Carrie is survived by daughter and actress Billie Lourd and half-sisters Joely Fisher and Tricia Fisher.
