Síle Seoige has shared her happiness after a "magic few days in the West" celebrating her son Cathal’s naming ceremony with her partner Damien O’Farrell and their family and friends.
The broadcaster and yoga teacher, who welcomed the arrival of her "maneen" in August, shared a joyous post on Instagram revealing that they had the "experience that we wanted" for Cathal.
Alongside a cute picture featuring elements from the day Seoige wrote: "Dublin bound after a magic few days in the West celebrating our maneen.
"I am so happy that we went for the experience that we wanted for him...a naming ceremony at home in Spiddal with family who travelled from Cork, Longford, Dublin and even South Africa to be there!
"A bilingual ceremony by a very close family friend which brought tears and laughter. It was personal, authentic and heartfelt and I wouldn't have changed a thing.
"Fresh air, walks on the beach, quality time with family, cuddles, singsongs & plenty of craic!"
Seoige revealed in February that she was expecting with her partner of two years. The news came the month after she was given the 'all clear' from thyroid cancer, five years on from her original diagnosis.
Speaking about becoming a first time mum Seoige said: I had no idea how challenging parenthood was until I became a mother myself and it has given me a completely different level of understanding, appreciation, and most importantly compassion for the daily juggling act that is motherhood."
