Fair City's Dr. Oakley is out for revenge against Miriam, and it looks like he'll stop at nothing to get his way, even if it means poisoning some innocent people!
On Wednesday night's (December 13) episode of Fair City, Dr. Oakley senses an opportunity to manipulate Charlotte as her impatience at Miriam is growing.
He gets Charlotte on his side and later at a meeting, Miriam puts Charlotte in charge of the refreshments. When Charlotte isn't looking, Dr. Oakley poisons the drinks.
Shortly afterwards, the entire group at the coffee morning meeting suddenly fall ill en masse.
Dr. Oakley springs into action and rescues the situation by tending to the group members. Meanwhile, his devious plan works wonders as Charlotte falls under suspicious as she was the only person who didn't get sick.
Actor Marcus Lamb, who plays the deceitful doctor, said Oakley will go to great lengths to exact his revenge on Miriam.
Lamb said: "My character Dr. Oakley has been plotting against Miriam for weeks in an effort to undermine her authority with the group every step of the way. In an effort to avoid any misconceptions the wider community may have Miriam announces that she is throwing open their doors for a coffee morning.

"Oakley seizes the opportunity, visits the house and secretly poisons the water boiler that the guests will be served drinks from. When all the attendees fall ill at the same time Miriam panics and Oakley takes command of the situation. He swoops in to the rescue treating all the ill and nauseous guests - checking their blood pressure, heart rates and giving them rehydration salts.
"Later when Damien wonders if it was food poisoning Oakley plants the seed of suspicion that he thinks it was done deliberately. Oakley also frames Charlotte pointing out that she was the only person who didn’t get sick."
The Fair City actor added that viewers can expect more drama from Oakley in upcoming episodes, saying: "Watch this space - things will take a turn for the worse over the coming weeks - Oakley doesn't care who gets in his way.
"He is hell bent on his quest for revenge against Miriam and doesn't care who gets hurt in the process."
