Sarah Parish leads the cast of this new thriller, which will be screened over four consecutive nights.

Created and written by Kate Brooke (Mr Selfridge, Ice Cream Girls, The Making of a Lady), Parish (Broadchurch, W1A, Cutting It) plays respected police officer DCI Elizabeth Bancroft, a woman with dark secrets in her past.

Ruthless and courageous, Bancroft is a brilliant cop. She’s dedicated her life to the police force.

Consequently, she’s trusted and adored by her colleagues and promotion to Detective Chief Superintendent looks assured.

Bancroft is running an operation to bring down the vicious Kamara gang. She adopts dubious methods, while the most violent brother, Athif (Amit Dhut), rules the local town with an iron fist.

Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, 5.00pm, Channel 4

Here’s a ten-part daytime series offering an explosion of festive cheer - featuring competitions, makes, decorations, food, drink, and gifts to inspire every crafter.

Each episode revolves around a competition between makers at Kirstie Allsopp's Christmas HQ, culminating in a winner-takes-all showdown.

The programme also visits the workshops of some of the UK’s most creative people. In the first episode, the magical festive HQ hosts Kirstie's Christmas cake-decorating competition.

I’m 16 But I Look 60, 10.00pm, 3e

Zara Hartshorn inherited a rare genetic condition from her mother Tracey, who at 43 already looks like a pensioner.

This programme follows Zara and her family as they visit the United States in search of specialist advice and treatment.

Always one with a sweet tooth, Nigella creates mouth-watering desserts of sticky toffee pudding and brandy salted caramel ice cream.
