Kevin Davy White has become the first act to be eliminated from this year's X Factor final.

The French singer and guitarist - in Nicole Scherzinger's overs category - left the show after a public vote on Saturday night.

It means boy band Rak-Su and Grace Davies will face off in the next stage of the final, airing on Sunday night, when a winner will be announced.

Scherzinger said that she couldn't wait for Davy White's album and predicted a bright future for the wannabe pop star.

Davy White (29) kicked off Saturday night's show with a performance of Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin.

Later he performed a version of Fast Love with the winner of this year's Britain's Got Talent winner Tokio Myers accompanying him on keyboard.

Grace Davies

Grace Davies sang Live And Let Die by Wings while Rak-Su sang their own track Mamacita.

Judge Simon Cowell said: "I think you've made a difference this year, along with Rak-Su, coming on with your own material. People will come on in years to come and say "if they can do it, I can do it"."
