Former Coronation Street actor Bruno Langley has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two women in a music venue in Manchester last month.
The 34-year-old actor appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court this morning charged with two counts of sex assault.
Two women accused Langley of groping them at a music venue on Manchester's Swan Street on 1 October.
Langley pleaded guilty to both counts of sexual assault and was told he may face a custodial sentence.
The actor played the character Todd Grimshaw on Coronation Street for 16 years. He departed the ITV soap following an internal inquiry in October.
He confirmed he was leaving the show in a statement which read: "Sadly, I will no longer be working on Coronation Street. Acting on the show has been the fulfilment of a personal dream.
"Playing the role of Todd Grimshaw since I was 17-years-old has been a huge part of my life, and an absolute honour.
"I would like to thank all of my friends who work on the show for their love, friendship and support during this extremely difficult period."
Langley first appeared on Coronation Street in 2001 as Todd Grimshaw, the soap's first openly gay character. He left in 2004 but returned to the role as a regular in 2013.
The actor has also been in theatrical productions of Calendar Girls and The Mousetrap and in TV Shows Doctor Who and Dalziel And Pascoe.
