The UK-based Irish Post newspaper has announced that its annual Irish Post Awards Show will be broadcast this year on TG4.

Among those to be honoured is businesswoman and star of The Apprentice TV programme Karren Brady.

The awards take place on November 23rd at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane, and it is the first time they will be broadcast live on television.

The owner and publisher of the Irish Post Elgin Loane called the event an opportunity to connect with the diaspora and showcase the Irish abroad.

TG4 Director General Alan Esslemont said the Irish diaspora in Britain and worldwide is a growing audience for the station.

This year will mark the 40th anniversary of the awards, which will be hosted by broadcaster Eamon Holmes.
