Cat Deeley is adamant that moving to America hasn't changed her and admits she knew how important it was to stay true to herself.
The 40-year-old presenter made the move from the UK to LA in 2006, when she was offered the dream role of hosting So You Think You Can Dance?, and Deeley admits she never felt out of sorts about her lifestyle change.
"I was never daunted. Mike Darnell [former president of alternative entertainment at FOX] just let me be me, and grow on an audience...didn't try to change me, just let me do it.
"I think that quite a few people thought I was a bit nuts and bonkers to begin with, but I think when you try to change someone too much, it doesn't work," she told SKY 1.

Deeley who is back in the UK to front Sky's new show Sing: Ultimate A Cappella says she is thrilled to be back on home turf.
"I'm very excited to be home. I mean, I always consider the UK my home anyway, because my friends and family are here.
"It was actually really exciting to walk on to the floor as I knew loads of the crew from back in the SMTV and CD:UK days."
Sing will see groups of singers battling it out in the hopes of winning the chance to release a Christmas single and record an album at Abbey Road Studios, and airs on Sky 1, October 6 at 9pm.
