The late Liz Dawn was capable of making her Corrie character Vera Duckworth good for a laugh and up for a row - sometimes in the same scene.
Vera was forever arguing with husband Jack, but she basically had run-ins with everyone in Weatherfield, from Ivy Brennan to Bet Lynch, and Gail Platt to Mavis Wilton.
And then - most touching of all - there was the last dance between Vera and Jack, as Jack died in the very chair where his beloved wife had also passed away . . .
