Two weeks after her arrival, tennis star Serena Williams has shared a picture of her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.
The tennis ace and her fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their little girl on September 1.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion also shared a clip on her Instagram Stories telling her followers that they had complicated birth.
Williams said: ""So we’re leaving the hospital after six, seven days. It’s been a long time, but we had a lot of complications, but look who we got — we got a baby girl."
Alexis, who weighed 6lb 14ozs when she was born, is named after her father. Williams, who did not know if she was expecting a boy or a girl, guessed she had a daughter on the way during an interview with Vogue magazine.
She said: "Alexis thinks we’re having a boy, but I have a strong suspicion that it’s a girl."
"Two weeks after we found out, I played the Australian Open. I told Alexis it has to be a girl because there I was playing in 100-degree weather, and that baby never gave me any trouble. Ride or die. Women are tough that way."
After the couple announced Alexis' arrival several of their celebrity friends took to social media to offer their congratulations.
Congratulations to my girl @SerenaWilliams & Alex Ohanian on your new baby girl! So happy for you guys! ❤️
