X Factor finalist Lucie Jones and fellow contestant Ethan Boroian have married, eight years after first meeting on the ITV talent show.

Jones, who represented the UK in this year's Eurovision, married Boroian at St David's Church, Miskin, South Wales.

The couple met at X Factor boot camp in 2009. After Jones made X Factor's final 12 and Boroian exited the competition at the 'judges' houses' stage, they stayed in touch and went on their first date five years later.

Chicago-born chef Boroian began recording a proposal video for Jones just days into their relationship and continued filming over a year-and-a-half in various locations around the world.

For their wedding, Jones wore an ivory tulle gown by Charlotte Balbier.

"As soon as I saw Ethan, looking so dashing in his blue wedding suit, I started to well up," the 26-year-old told Hello! magazine.

"Then the male voice choir started to sing our song, God Only Knows by The Beach Boys, and an overwhelming feeling of intense emotion came over me."

Jones said she "couldn't stop the tears" as "every precious memory of our time together came flooding back".

"It was incredible seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time," said Boroian. "I couldn't take my eyes off her."

"Ethan is everything I could ever have wanted in a man," added Jones. "I count my lucky stars I found him every single day."
