The BBC has confirmed that there will be a second season of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's highly acclaimed comedy Fleabag.
The announcement was timed with the Fleabag panel at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, and follows other recent BBC comedy announcements concerning The League of Gentlemen and Alan Partridge.
Waller-Bridge writes the show and stars as the main character, the eponymous Fleabag, a young woman attempting to navigate modern life and relationships in London.
But there's a major downsides for fans eager to see some new episodes as the Bafta-winning show won't be back on the Beeb until 2019, despite it being filmed in November of this year.
"I asked myself if Fleabag has more to say and frankly she hasn't shut up since," Waller-Bridge explained. "Series two will be a whole new adventure, and I'm beyond thrilled to be coming back."
