Dáithí Ó Sé was in flying form at the Rose of Tralee launch after arriving to Malahide Park via helicopter. Talk about arriving in style!
Ó Sé, who will host the event for the eighth time this year, joked about how he had to hitch an alternative ride after his car broke down this morning.
Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment at the 58th Rose of Tralee Festival launch on Tuesday, he said: "I'm feeling great except my car broke down on the M50 this morning.
"I was hitching a lift and all of a sudden I saw this helicopter up in the air and I called him down and he dropped me off here. What a great guy!" he laughed.

Dáithí also teased next week's live shows saying that a very special guest and familiar face will be taking to the Festival Dome on the second night of the live televised broadcast on RTÉ One.
"We've a special guest on the Tuesday night - a singer - but I can't tell you who that person is going to be. It's a very big name! We are delighted to have this person on the show again."
The Rose of Tralee Festival will be broadcast on RTÉ One at 8pm on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 of August.
