Ross Kemp has hinted that he could be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The former EastEnders star was asked if he would appear on the BBC dancing show and made an expression that suggested it could be on the cards.

While appearing on Loose Women, he responded to a question from host Andrea McLean about appearing on Strictly, and coyly said "Never say never" while widening his eyes and pulling a face.

There were cheers from the audience to his cryptic answer and he added: "I was asked the first time."

The line-up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing has yet to be announced.

The 52-year-old Kemp recently said he would like to do a documentary on the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

The presenter of Sky 1's Extreme World series would like to investigate and document key UK news stories in a future series. Kemp is currently in search of a new broadcaster following Sky1's recent announcement that they would be dropping his series.

"It’s an ever-changing world and there are loads of subjects I would love to do," he told the Press Association.

"There are always issues in the UK that I would like to cover… the amount of stabbings we’ve had in London recently is off the scale and I don’t think enough is being done about that, but in the light of what’s happened recently, in terms of the Grenfell Tower fire and the Manchester and London terror attacks, it has been overshadowed."
